It was a sunny Saturday, October 10, 2009 to be exact. I had been in Lebanon for about a month, so some new friends and I decided to take a trip.
We started off with thoughts of visiting the famous cedars, but with the local signage...driving directions were difficult...
So after searching the maps and discussing various options...
We decided on Beiteddine, a palace in a small town in central Lebanon...the stonework is gorgeous...
There were windows that cast beautiful shadows and patterns on the floor...
Artwork that showed what it was like in previous years...
There are walkways with olive trees waving in the breezes...

As we we ended the day...we stopped for the most delicious fast food I've had to date! Malak al Tawouk...or roughly The Chicken King..
