The road wound under overpasses through the Tulalip Indian Reservation.
Passed by a very interestingly painted barn.
Drove through some amazing daffodil fields in Mt. Vernon.
And finally arrived at the beach near Deception Pass State Park.
I climbed some rocks that overlooked the Sound.
Found some interesting trees as I was poking around.
Laid in some fuzzy moss.
Basically enjoyed the unmatched beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
Beautiful pictures, Susan, of a beautiful area! Did you know my mother was raised on Whidbey Island? I have been there many times...in fact lived there part of a summer.
